Creating this website took roughly 9 months! It’s not because I wasn’t motivated – it was partly the usual excuses (life happened), but mainly the combination of having so many ideas, and wanted this site to be very simple, the two don’t always translate to a simple design. See my old site here.

I started with notes – lots of notes. Then sketches of the navigation. From there I went to find a template I could build off of. This took awhile because even being a visual person it was hard to see my ideas with someone’s template. I finally found a template that was bare bones, I’m talking no colors and no extras. From there that’s when the magic happened. I need to take a moment and thank Justin Mahon of Mahon Media. He not only helped code this thing but also kept me motivated to finish this site because at more than one point I was about to just give up and say I’ll get to it another day.
